Hesitation. Nervousness. Anxiety. Not exactly the emotions that foster a strong learning environment, but for many students these are unfortunately a first response when presented with new math problems.
There may be snow on the ground and holiday jingles playing over the loudspeaker at the grocery store, but for some Calgary schools it’s beginning to look like a lot like Christmas for a different reason.
On May 9, 2018, EducationMatters launched our Fuel the Future event to raise awareness and dollars to support educational enrichments for students across Calgary. The event, held at the Calgary Board of Education Centre was busy, with 128 guests, students, and volunteers in attendance.
