EducationMatters collaborates with donors to provide funding for programs and initiatives that go beyond government funding limitations. These grants empower schools to invest in essential resources that promote student success. Our goal is to create opportunities today that will enable generations of Calgary students to achieve financial stability and lead fulfilling, healthy, and productive lives as adults.

As the founder of a fund, you determine the criteria by which grants are made. CBE educators apply for grants in late summer/early fall with funding being disbursed by December of that year. Without exception, the donor’s wishes are strictly honoured. A donor can participate in the selection of the grantee(s) or can defer the decision to the EducationMatters Grant Committee.
