Gift Matching

Many employers offer a gift-match program to employees.  If you’re unsure as to your company policy, reach out to your HR or finance team for clarification.

Sometimes employers need to verify a charity before they will gift match – please direct any questions to our Director, Donor & Community Engagement –  Helen Nowlan-Walls.

For employers using Benevity (or for anyone wanting to take advantage of  Alberta Treasury Branch’s 15% gift match via their ATB Cares portal), search for EducationMatters as your charity of choice and use the projects listed to identify how you would like to direct your gift.  You can give generally to our current area of greatest need, direct your gift to granting funds, support student awards, or donate to a specific school.

Please note that when you use a gift-match portal, your tax receipt will not be issued by EducationMatters – any questions regarding your donation will need to be addressed to the contact listed on your tax receipt. There is also delay of approximately 4-6 weeks between a gift being made via this portal and the funds being received by us. 

You also need to be careful to agree to share your name and comments with EducationMatters so we can properly direct your gift.
