The Bowness High School Music Parents Association (BHSMPA) is working to raise funds to improve the quality of music education at Bowness High School. As our music program continues to grow, we need to ensure that our students have all the support they need to excel!
Music education helps expose students to a broader range of music, opening them up to more life experiences. Through this, students resonate more deeply with their own spirit and sense of self, as well as the world around them. Music allows them to learn about other cultures, their celebrations, and how music brings all of humanity together. Music is a powerful tool and connects us!
Funds raised from donations will help to:
- – Fund new musical instruments to replace a rapidly aging instrument inventory
- – Assist with the repair and maintenance of musical instruments
- – Subsidize costs associated to attend band and choir camps, festivals, and competitions
- – Help with the purchase of new sheet music for band and choir
