The Accomplished Angels Student Award was established in 2012 through the Evening of Accomplished Angels celebration event, initiated by Penny Leckie and continues to be maintained by “Accomplished Angels” in the community. This award is intended to encourage graduates of the Louise Dean School, Calgary, Alberta to pursue post-secondary education, enhance their career objectives and hopefully succeed in becoming “Accomplished Angels.”

Eligibility

Open to students registered in grade 12 attending Louise Dean School in Calgary who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma or have graduated from Louise Dean School within two years of application. Applicants must have marks sufficient for entrance to a post-secondary area of study.

To be eligible, the student must demonstrate both academic success and financial need. Overall contribution to the school as a helpful and cooperative student is considered.

Selection & Payment

Recipients are selected in July. To claim the award, within eighteen (18) months of notification of award, the recipient must be registered in an eligible program of post-secondary study in Canada of at least one year duration, or an eligible skilled trades or apprenticeship program. Payments are made to the post-secondary institution.
In order to receive continued funding for the subsequent year, award recipients must maintain continued acceptance in their chosen program and provide proof of enrollment.
