As part of Maple Ridge School’s fundraising efforts in the 2021/22 year, we are launching a Cheque Writing Campaign. In the survey sent out to our community earlier this year, 50% of respondents indicated they would like to support our school through a cash donation. This fundraiser will run throughout the month of March.

The CBE has mandated that all school fundraisers will be processed by EducationMatters, Calgary’s public education trust. EducationMatters will charge a 3.5% administration fee for donation processing in order to offset their operational costs for doing this work. The rest of the funds raised will be used for school and teacher needs, such as technology, library books, gym equipment and other curriculum enhancements.

We understand these may be very challenging times for many Maple Ridge families given the impact of the last 2 years. We are grateful for any donation that you are able to give and understand if you are unable to do so this year. With your help, our goal this year is to raise at least $50 per student, but donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20.00 and over.

Please note that there will be other opportunities in the coming months to support the school.
