Eligibility

Open to students registered in grade 12 at Lord Beaverbrook High School who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma. Recipients will demonstrate the highest level of improvement in Social Studies between Social Studies 20- and 30- courses, after provincial exam results are obtained. Applicants must be Canadian citizens.

Selection & Payment

Recipients will be nominated and selected based on the recommendation of staff at Lord Beaverbrook High School; students will be notified in the Fall following graduation. To claim the award, within two (2) years of notification, the recipient must be registered in an eligible program of post-secondary study of at least one-year duration, including vocational, technical or post-secondary institutions or an eligible skilled trades or apprenticeship program (upgrading courses not applicable). Payment will be made to the post-secondary institution.
