Eligibility

Open to students enrolled in a Grade 12 Construction course who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma.

Applicants must have received a construction teacher recommendation and have grades appropriate to their chosen post secondary course.  Applicants must have made or are making positive contributions to the community or school through service or extracurricular activities, embodying a well-rounded nature.

Applicants must also submit an essay/statement of approximately 500 words explaining their post-secondary plans and interest in a construction field as a career path.

Consideration may also be given to students demonstrating financial need; students with financial need should provide a separate “statement of financial need” explaining their financial situation/circumstances.

Selection & Payment

Recipients will be notified by September. The selection committee shall be made up of Centennial staff including a representative from EducationMatters. To claim the award, the recipient must be registered in an eligible program of post-secondary study in Canada in the Fall of 2024. Payments are made to the post-secondary institution upon proof of registration.
