Mr. Brigden served as Science Department Head at Ernest Manning High School for nine years from September 1969 to June 1978. He was genuinely admired and respected by his students and staff colleagues. His attention to good scholarship coupled with his friendly and helpful interest in extra­curricular activities will long be remembered.

In his memory, this scholarship is presented to a graduate of’ Ernest Manning High School who proceeds to university in a Faculty of Science.

Eligibility

Open to students registered in grade 12 at Ernest Manning High School who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma and have attended Ernest Manning High School for the last two years preceding graduation.

Applicants must of achieved high academic success in high school science courses and demonstrate qualities of scholarliness, citizenship and character.

Selection & Payment

School-specific. Award recipients will be selected by the Ernest Manning High Award Selection Committee including a representative from EducationMatters. To claim the award, within two years (24 months) of notification of award, the recipient must be registered in an eligible program of post-secondary study. Payments are made to the post-secondary institution upon confirmation of enrollment/registration.
