Eligibility
Open to students graduating Grade 12 who plan to pursue post-secondary education. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and commitment to community involvement and lifesaving/lifeguarding, such as completion of Lifesaving Society Bronze, National Lifeguard, or Lifesaving/Lifeguarding Instructor courses. Students are asked to submit a brief written statement describing their involvement in and commitment to lifeguarding . Applicants must have demonstrated positive citizenship and leadership qualities as revealed by the participation in non-academic activities for the school and/or community. Selection will be based on the statement, volunteerism/community involvement and financial need.

Complete the online application. Applicants should check with their guidance office for more information and are encouraged to discuss their application with the Scholarship Coordinator at their high school.
Selection & Payment
Recipients are selected and notified by September. To claim the award, within one (1) year of notification of the award, the recipient must be registered in an eligible program of postsecondary study in Canada. Payments are made to the post-secondary institution.
