Eligibility
At the discretion of the CBE Science Specialist in consultation with the applicable school principal, up to five bursaries of $500 each will be awarded to students who qualify for the Canadian national team in any of the International Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry Olympiads (categories: IPhO, IMO, IChO, IOI, IBO, IPO, INEPO, IAO, IGeO, IOL, IJSO, IOAA, IESO). The purpose of the bursary is to help students with expenses related to the travel or other associated activities during this once in a lifetime opportunity

You can apply by creating an account in our Student Award Application Portal. Applicants should check with their guidance office for more information and are encouraged to discuss their application with their school's Principal. Applicants should contact EducationMatters to request an access code for the online application.
Selection & Payment
CBE administration will confirm availability of funds annually with EducationMatters. Recipients will be automatically selected based on their qualification to the Canadian National team for the Olympiad at the applicable Principal’s discretion. Upon written confirmation of the recipient selections to EducationMatters payment will be arranged for disbursement through the school.
