Eligibility

Open to CBE students who will be completing the requirements of a high school diploma or certificate of achievement in the year of application. Students must have attended at least two full years of senior high school in the Calgary Board of Education and demonstrate financial need. Applicants are required to provide a statement outlining their need for financial assistance. Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 10 vocational, technical or trades related credits through Career and Technology Studies courses, Knowledge & Employability (K&E) courses, Work Experience or RAP.

Selection & Payment

Recipients are selected by September. To claim the award, within two (2) years of notification the recipient must be registered full-time in an eligible program of at least (1) one year duration, including vocational, technical or post-secondary institutions. Payments are made to the post-secondary institutions.
