Tom Inkster Memorial Scholarship

Open to students registered in grade 12 at Ernest Manning High School who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma. This award recognizes and encourages students to continue their personal leadership development and interest in outdoor education. Applicants are required to provide an essay of approximately 500 words that reflects on their personal leadership qualities and experiences and how pursuing their chosen educational path will enable them to “give back” to their community. Applicants must have the attached Teacher Evaluation Form completed and provide one letter of reference demonstrating their leadership qualities through their school and/or community involvement and/or their athletic/outdoor pursuits is also required (can be provided by a community leader). Student must have attained satisfactory academic achievement to enroll in the post- secondary program of the student’s chosen field of study. Selection will be based on (in order of priority) essay, teacher evaluation and letter of reference and academics.
