Eligibility

Open to students registered in grade 12 at Lord Beaverbrook High School who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma and are pursuing post-secondary education. Applicants are required to submit a letter of reference from a teacher or a school official in support of their application that speaks to their strong work ethic and involvement in extracurricular activities. Selection will be based on the student’s marked improvement in their academic grades and their demonstrated strong work ethic as evidenced by their reference letter and transcript. Financial need may also be a consideration.

Selection & Payment

Recipients are selected by the Lord Beaverbrook High School Student Award Selection Committee including a representative of EducationMatters. To claim the award, within eighteen (18) months of high school graduation the recipient must be registered in an eligible program of post-secondary study. Payments will be made to the post-secondary institution upon confirmation of enrollment.
