Eligibility

Open to students registered in grade 12 at Western Canada High School who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma, demonstrate financial need and are pursuing post-secondary education. Students must have exhibited leadership and/or citizenship by having contributed to the school culture, participated as a member of a club or team or excelled in off-campus volunteerism or leadership initiatives. As financial need can mean different things to different people, this award will determine the need through the submission of a statement of approximately 500 words prepared by the student that outlines the necessity of the need for economic support. Support from a teacher or school administrator will help strengthen this request. Selection will be based on volunteer activities/demonstration of leadership qualities and statement of financial need.
