The 2025 and 2026 Backpack & Essentials Campaign

Providing K-12 students with a new backpack filled with school supplies that supports learning at school and at home. 

This milestone partnership ensures CBE students have access to the tools and supports they need to succeed. 
“Our partnership with Suncor brings our mission to life by directly connecting community investment to CBE student success,” said Stephanie Washbrook, Executive Director of EducationMatters. “We’re thrilled to share our new brand with the community and keep driving work that ensures every student has what they need to thrive.”

“Students across our system will have greater access to explore future career and education pathways, made possible through the generosity of Suncor’s Energizing Youth initiative,” said Joanne Pitman, Chief Superintendent, CBE. “In partnership with EducationMatters, this support will remove barriers and expand opportunities for student success.”
