Up to $2,200 – value variable depending on the cost of the program
Open to students registered in grade 12 who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma and have taken/are taking pre-apprenticeships/employment or RAP courses towards entering a construction trade. Applicants must have marks sufficient for entrance into a construction trade or apprenticeship program.
Applicants are required to submit two letters of reference from any of the following people: Career & Technology teacher, summer mentorship leader, coach, community member, and/or employer. The letters will demonstrate the student’s skills, punctuality, reliability, and personal conduct. Volunteer and/or leadership activities are encouraged but not mandatory.

Selection & Payment
Recipients will be notified by September. The EducationMatters Selection Committee may also include a representative from EllisDon. The awards must be claimed within two (2) years from the date of high school graduation. The award will be paid to the post-secondary institution upon confirmation of enrolment in a provincially recognized program of construction apprenticeship or trades in Canada.
