This scholarship was established in 2005 in tribute to Edith Berger’s deep love of education and teaching. Endowed by her brother, it is intended to provide graduating high school students the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education towards a teaching degree. Edith concluded her career in education as principal of Huntington Hills Elementary School and a plaque honoring her and the recipients hangs in the school.
