David Thompson School’s Student vs Teacher volleyball is back, and this year it is in support of newcomers to Calgary!

The Grade 9 Leadership Team hosts this event and get to choose a worthy community cause to support, and this year we chose to fundraise for the CBE Welcome Centre. The Welcome Centre is working extra hard this year to help new Calgarians (including over 700 Ukrainian refugees) get settled into their new schools and feel welcome in the community. The Welcome Centre works with families on filling in the proper documents, and also provides backpacks, school supplies, and sometimes even climate-appropriate clothing for the new CBE students.
