The CBE Properties Alumni Award was established by a group of Calgary Board of Education alumni who lived in the NE Calgary communities of Rundle, Whitehorn, Pineridge, and Temple, also known collectively as the Properties. This award supports current Calgary Board of Education students residing in the neighbourhoods and communities where they grew up.
All CBE graduating students who are pursuing post-secondary education and are living in the Properties communities of Rundle, Whitehorn, Pineridge, or Temple at the time of application will be eligible to apply for this new award.
To apply, applicants must have academic grades sufficient to allow admission into their chosen area of study and demonstrate financial need. Applicants are also required to submit an original essay describing how they have been influenced by the community they live in. Selection will be based on both financial need and the essay.
The number of awards distributed and the value of each award will be dependent on the funds available.
