Dave Chalk shares personal insights from his own challenging educational story
Dave Chalk
Lacking the cognitive functions of his left brain, Chalk was told as a child he would never learn. When computers began to enter the mainstream market, he knew technology would be a powerful learning tool that would help unlock his potential. Dave started what would be a multi-million dollar business, Doppler Computer Superstores, from humble beginnings in his parent's basement.
Today, Chalk helps others tap into their abilities, using technology as a vehicle to do so. He is a leader in e-learning and online training, developing web content for companies such as Yahoo! and Telus Mobility. Chalk explores the real possibilities of the human mind and shows how technology can help people achieve their dreams.
Known throughout North America as a leading public expert on technology, Dave hosts his own TV show (Dave Chalk Connected In-Flight, on Air Canada), writes regular articles for several publications (including The Globe & Mail and Canada.com) and speaks for companies such as Microsoft, TELUS, HP and Sony.
In 2006, Dave Chalk was awarded an honorary Doctor of Technology degree from University College of the Fraser Valley.
