EducationMatters has several types of Endowment or Flow-Through* funds:
- discretionary
- field of interest / donor directed
- designated/school specific
- student awards

Types of Gifts:

• Your support can be through a GIFT OF ASSETS (i.e. real estate, publicly traded securities, RRSP, Tax Free Saving Plan, or life insurance).
  
  
• TRIBUTE GIFTS are a way of honouring the memory of a loved one or esteemed colleague. It could also recognize a special person for a personal reason (i.e. birthday, anniversary, retirement, graduation, etc). To donate, fill out/mail the form (in the link) or click DONATE NOW above to give a secure online gift.
  
• You can direct your United Way gifts/pledges to EducationMatters.
  
  
• Fulfill your philanthropic goals by leaving a BEQUEST in your will to create a legacy.
  
  
• CBE Employees can direct their 25 Year Service Award to EducationMatters.
  
  
• Increase your gift by checking with your employer to see if they have a corporate Matching Gift Program.
  
  
• Gifts-in-kind or Sponsorship for our EVENTS is a great way to support public education enhancements.
  
  
• You can hold a fundraising event and direct the proceeds to support a fund (i.e. garage sale, alumni reunion, dinner, or other event). Read our GUIDELINES and complete our EVENT REGISTRATION FORM. Please contact us for review and approval before the event. Thank you!
  
  
   

  Ways to direct your gifts:

• Contribute any amount to any one of our existing funds.
  
  
• Start a new fund with a minimum contribution of $5,250. Tell us what you are interested in supporting.
  
  
• Support one of our three pillars - LITERACY, LEADERSHIP, LIFE TRANSITIONS or GREATEST NEED.
  
  
• Build our school community by supporting SCHOOLS HELPING SCHOOLS, DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS or STUDENT AWARDS.

  * Endowment funds preserve the principal gift in perpetuity and create a legacy. Grants are made from interest earned on the principal over the years.

* All monies received into Flow-through funds are spent within two years and impact students immediately.
