Timelines:

September - May : Student Awards are promoted to schools through marketing and information sessions
February: information meeting with the CBE & CSSD Scholarship Coordinators on what is new, different, or has changed for the scholarship process for that year
April 30: deadline to submit all aboriginal student award applications to the CBE Aboriginal Team office, located at Kingsland School, 7430 5 St SW, Calgary, AB T2V 1B1, OR to the Scholarship Officer at EducationMatters.
June 30: Scholarship coordinators deadline to submit all Student Award applications to EducationMatters
Late August/ September: Student Award Selection Committee Meetings
End of October: All successful recipients will have been notified by mail.
Highlights for 2010:
- 1 new system-wide award was created: an award called Kafe12 Bursary is open to Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic School District students and selection will be based on essay, financial need and a consideration of academic merit.
- dollar value of annual awards granted by EducationMatters is nearly $150,000.
- scholarship winners sometimes speak at or MC our events!
