EducationMatters respects each individual’s right to privacy and his/her right to access personal information. As such we:

• collect only information that is required to fulfill the purpose identified;
• maintain information to be accurate and complete;
• appropriately protect all private information that is stored either electronically or as hard copies;
• use information only for the purpose for which it was collected; and,
• make personal information available for access by the individual upon request.

Any information collected through EducationMatters is protected under the Privacy Legislation.

The FOIP Act does not apply to private businesses, non-profit organizations or professional regulatory organizations operating in Alberta. In these cases, Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) will apply.
